Looking towards Southport from Windsor Road footbridge on September 11th 1982. During a joint BR/Steamport Museum open day, Birkenhead allocated Class 03 Diesel Shunter 03189 was hauling a Class 108 DMU formed of cars M52051 & M51936 on a shuttle service between Southport station and the platform at the far-end of the short museum running line. With the 03 and the DMU trundling back towards the station, LMS Jinty 7298 with Mark 1 RMB Buffet Car 1839 & former LMS Inspection Saloon DM45048 were operating the internal Museum shuttle.
