On a fine Summer evening, a two-car Class 104 DMU formed of Driving Motor Brake Second M53470 and Driving Motor Second Lavatory M53499, was hurrying along the Up Fast at Factory Lane, Penwortham, just South of Preston on July 6th 1987. The DMU appears to be well-filled, and the destination blind is showing Crewe. It may have been a returning special/charter from Blackpool North.
