A three-car Swindon Cross-Country DMU with Driving Motor Second Lavatory (DMSL) M53666 leading, was passing Farington Junction with a Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria service on May 28th 1985. This open view is no longer possible due to unchecked lineside tree growth.
