One of the "Swindon Inter-City" class 123 DMU sets is seen in the carriage sidings recess line to the south of Sheffield Midland station on 21/04/84. By this date the units were on borrowed time and the mainstay of there work was Trans Pennine diagrams between Hull / Cleethorpes and Manchester via the Hope Valley route.
