Withdrawn Class 126 units at Millerhill in April 1973 (SC79109 closest). Most of the withdrawn E&G Swindons, which is what we knew them as, ended up stored at Millerhill Yard before being taken south for Scrap. They then hung around in East Anglia for a quite a while as we kept stumbling across them when we were on trips at such unlikely places as Ely and Mistley awaiting devouring by Kings scrapyards in Norwich and Snailwell. Some also went to Swindon for cutting up and sat alongside the Westerns waiting their turn to go.
