One of the early Class 108 refurbishments with the small headcode indicator in the cab window (displaying 1G45) forms the 17:12 Leeds-Morecambe service seen approaching Skipton on 23 June 1975. Only five Class 108 pairs had been refurbished by this date, all allocated to Neville Hill, and it would be almost a year before any more of the Class were treated.
