Class 101 DMU at Glasgow Queen Street Station

Larger image(s): 1200px

Details

On the afternoon of the 23rd July 1986 a 3 car Class 101 unit sits in Glasgow Queen Street Station awaiting it’s next turn of duty. DMBS SC51467 leads the formation followed by TCL SC59554 with DMCL SC51532 bringing up the rear. It’s very quiet on the Platforms but with the clock above the leading cab showing just after 3pm I’m sure that won’t last very long. The rear 2 vehicles were scrapped by Vic Berry, Leicester SC59554 in October 1988, and SC51532 in July 1990, while the leading car SC51467 met it’s end at Snailwell during September 1990.
