A "Lincoln Set" class 114 approaches Woodhouse station with a Lincoln - Sheffield working in 1974. As can be seen, Woodhouse yard was still busy at this time, albeit mostly as an overflow for Beighton Junction PW yard, and was shunted every morning by a trip from Tinsley. In later years, the loops to the right of the running lines were used by MGR trains to run-round before heading to Cottam or West Burton power stations.
