A few hours spent watching a variety of DMU types by the North Downs in August 1989.

Class 101 Metro Cammell set L835 (W51432 + W59530 + W51498) head west with a Reading bound service, seen near Betchworth. The power cars were Leeds / Bradford based most of their lives until late 1987, while the centre car spent most of its life around Tyneside then quite a few years in Scotland before migrating south.
