Late afternoon in August 1987 and we see a 6 car DMU leaving platform 16 with a rush hour service to Fife.

The BRCW DMUs were a rarity in Waverley until later reallocations, this set led by 53556 came north in 1986 for a couple of years before moving south again shortly before its withdrawal. It is presumably with 59228 + 53504 and there is a Class 101 on the rear.
