A lone Class 122 (set TY055, presumably M55010) is about to leave Birmingham Snow Hill in February 1972. At this time Snow Hill was a gigantic car park with just this one bay operating an infrequent service to Wolverhampton Low Level. The route is fairly similar to that taken by the Midland Metro, the Wolverhampton end is now street running to a new terminus at St Georges.
