This is believed to be Cohen's yard at Kettering, in early 1970. It contains many Met-Camm Lightweights. Tony Wilkins.

The remains (underframe and number panel) of Derby Lightweight 79633 at Cohen's Kettering yard, probably in 1971. It had been built as power car 79191 before conversion to a trailer in 1962. Behind, another vehicle awaits the chop. The grey material scattered all over the ground is blue asbestos. Tony Wilkins.

DMUs in Cohen's Cransley (Kettering) scrapyard in May 1970. Left to right are a Derby Lightweight DTCL, thought to be E79260, a Met-Camm Lightweight DTSL (thought to be 79278), DMBS, DMBS and DTSL. Two Derby Lightweight DMBSs at Cohens, Kettering, for disposal. Undated, the slide process date was July 1969. Closest is E79025 which arrived there on 11 June 1969 and was believed to linger until 1971 before being cut. Behind, in blue livery, is presumably E79028. It also arrived on the same date, these two were the first Derby Lightweight DMBSs to arrive there, and there were no more till the following year. Its stay was considerable shorter, is believed to have been cut by the end of June 1969. Stuart Mackay Collection.
