One of the first batch of Cravens DMUs seen at Leeds City in August 1966. Note how the two bulbs (both white) can be clearly seen in each of the four marker lamps, later on the glass covering the lamps would be frosted. The yellow panel covers the waist level lining, on some vehicles it stopped before the lining. David Faircloth.

A Swindon-built Class 124 "Trans-Pennine" diesel multiple unit stands at Leeds ("City" as it still was then) station on Saturday 3rd April 1976. These distinctive units with their wrap-around windows were relatively luxurious, originally including a buffet car in their formation, and they worked inter-city services for many years across northern England between the Mersey and the Humber. A fine array of DMUs in Leeds City station in March 1976. Two Class 111s (51541 on the right) have a 104 and another Met-Camm between them. A curious item is on the left - the toilet end of a Met-Camm in white/blue stripe livery - but it seems to be a large model sitting on the platform? Hugh Llewelyn.
