Class 105 Newington 12 July 1980. The Edinburgh City Transport Welfare Association ran The Forth Valley Wanderer Railtour around freight lines Edinburgh area. The set, formed 51480 + 59047 + 51474, included a Class 101 centre car. Alistair Ness.

On 23rd August 1980 the BLS “Lothian & Fife Wanderer” covered a number of freight lines around Edinburgh and Fife, formed of 3 car Met Camm set 51224+59067+50243. I did not travel on this but chose to take some photos, sadly only with a Kodak Instamatic. Here it is seen passing through Newington on the Edinburgh South Suburban line, the station here closed in 1962 and has since been razed to track level. Murray Liston.
