Vehicle: 55008 Set: TY053
Wolverhampton Low Level station in Autumn 1969. Single car diesel multiple unit dmu W55008, in rail blue with yellow end panels, stands in the only rail connected platform as the late afternoon light is fading. The very last gasp for passenger services on this one-time Great Western Railway trunk route from London to Merseyside. Pete LG99.
Vehicle: 55010 Set: TY055
A GRC&W single car DMU in Wolverhampton Low Level station in the early 1970s. The set number TY055 in the cab window means it should be M55010. Graham Clark.
Vehicle: 51100
A GRC&W DMU in Wolverhampton Low Level Spa station, date unknown. Closest is W51100 - still looking fairly new - so this could be circa late 1959. It was a Tyseley vehicle from delivery in July 1959 until moving to Chester in March 1967. A couple of items of note - the left marker lamp has a white lens slotted in, and there is a coach board fitted but turned inwards to hide the text. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Vehicle: 50710 Set: 504
A Swindon Cross-Country DMU (50710 + 59269 and presumably 50661) forms the 5.40pm to Birmingham Snow Hill and Honeybourne at Wolverhampton Low Level on 4 August 1962. Michael Mensing.
