A GRC&W DMU in Wolverhampton Low Level Spa station, date unknown. Closest is W51100 - still looking fairly new - so this could be circa late 1959. It was a Tyseley vehicle from delivery in July 1959 until moving to Chester in March 1967. A couple of items of note - the left marker lamp has a white lens slotted in, and there is a coach board fitted but turned inwards to hide the text. Stuart Mackay Collection.
A Class 119 DMU arrives into Albrighton station with the 12:44 Wolverhampton - Shrewsbury service on 22 May 1976. DMCL W51100 leads. Michael Mensing.
A passenger boards Class 119 W51100 on the 12:44 Wolverhampton - Shrewsbury service at Albrighton station on 22 May 1976. Michael Mensing.
Class 119 DMU set L589 (presumably 51100 + 59414 + 51057) arrives into Deepdene station on the North Downs line, date unknown. Paul Redmond.
Working a diverted Reading to Gatwick Airport service on 1st April 1987 class 119 set L589 (presumably 51100 + 59414 + 51057) passes Coulsdon North. Ian Buck.
Class 119 vehicles 51100 and 51056 are seen at Old Oak Common on the 22nd December 1989. Robert Chilton.
An unusual combination of a Class 119 DMSL and plain blue Class 105 DTCL or DMCL seen at Swindon on 16 June 1979. With no brake van in the set they are probably ex-works en-route to their home depots. With "Chesterfield" on the destination blind the 119 could be a Chester vehicle - on this date it only had one set, the DMSL being 51100. Nicholas T Smith.
Class 119 set L589 (presumably 51057 + 59414 + 51100) at Enborne on the first day of the 1980s - January 1st, 1980. Steve Davies Collection.
Gloucester RC&W Co. Class 119 Cross Country 3-car dmu Set No.L589 (presumably 51057 + 59414 + 51100) in BR Rail Blue & Grey with all yellow front ends arriving at Worcester (Shrub Hill) on a service from Oxford via Evesham, 08/82. Hugh Llewelyn.
Class 119 DMU set L589 (51057 and presumably 59414 + 51100) is seen passing Dr Days Junction at Bristol forming a special connection to Bristol Parkway on 6 August 1983. Michael Mensing.
Radley station on Wednesday 14 September 1983. The 14.01 Paddington-Oxford has just stopped here for a handful of passengers to disembark; the DMU is Reading depot's L589 (formed 51057/59414/51100). Note the cooling towers of Didcot power station steaming away on the horizon. Lewis Bevan.
Western Region Class DMU L589 (51057 leads, presumably with 59414 + 51100) at Clapham Junction, 20 April 1985. Though to be a Gatwick - Reading service diverted because of engineering works. Nigel Menzies.
Class 119 set L589 (presumably 51057 + 59414 + 51100) at Reading on 28th February 1987. Ian Buck.
