The Midland Pullman has just arrived at London St Pancras with the 0745 from Manchester Central, the booked arrival time was 1100 and as the clock is showing 1054 it has obviously arrived early. Mr Minifie had been presented with an engraved silver ashtray noting that he was the 100,000th passenger on the "Midland Pullman" between Manchester and London, while the chef has a birthday cake to celebrate the train's second anniversary on 4th July 1962.
