Hessle Road, Hull in Oct 1962, when a Class 104 (59226 closest) ‘split’ a set of wrongly clamped points. The photographer said: “Within hours the mess was cleaned up and normal working soon resumed, today it would be a ‘scene of crime’ and the job stopped for a week”! Received via Ian Fleming. Class 101 DTCL 54350, Class 104 TBSL 59228 and Class 100 DTCL 977191 are dragged though Crewe on 19/2/00 after a long period of storage at the South Carriage Sidings. The 100 would be dropped off at the Adtranz Works, the other two were moved to Gresty Lane ready for road movement, the 101 to Shroeburyness and the 104 to preservation at Telford. Frank Nicholas.
The 12.45 Buxton service calls at New Mills Newtown comprising of the standard Buxton based BRC&W class 104 3 car dmu, whilst working a Manchester Piccadilly-Buxton service. 27th January 1979. The centre car is a TSL, of which there was only one of on the LMR on this date - 59230. Andrew J Crowther.
