A Class 114 DMU, converted for carrying parcels, mail, or in this case labelled for "Newspapers", sits in the sidings around the back of Leeds City station. 10th August 1987. The DTC is probably 55933. Paul James.

A rare colour Derby Works image showing a brand new Derby Heavyweight set formed of E56035 / E50035 which was new to Lincoln in March 1957. Location unknown, possibly on the Wirksworth branch as these images often were. Colour images from this period were often hand tinted black and white images but the quality in this suggests it was taken in colour. A B&W version does exits (negative 57/142). One thing of note is the gutters - in b&w images these always showed as being darker than the body and the assumption till now was that they were black. Here they are a dark green. British Railways.

Two Class 114 sets arrive into Retford with the 5.32pm Lincoln - Sheffield on July 6th, 1978. E56036 is at the front, it would later become one of the Royal Mail red parcel cars. Michael Mensing.

Class 114 54902 is seen at Tyseley on 02.04.1988 not long after conversion to a Parcels unit from 54036. It had been fitted with roller doors, and painted into Royal Mail red livery. Andy Cole.
