I was personally responsible for bringing 119021 (51073 & 51104) to Cornwall from Tyseley to help out on the St Ives branch. Unfortunately just too much work was needed to make it serviceable so it went back again. Penzance depot, 4th August 1995. Ian Buck.

Three-car DMU 119431 in the bay at Chester. Closest is 51104, 51073 is at the far end, in the middle is an unknown Class 117 DMBS. Reading Class 119 set L594 (51073 + 59435 + 51104) was transferred to Tyseley in May 1994, centre car 59435 is recorded as being transferred back to Reading in June 1994. Here we see a real mixed bag with two 119 cars nose to tail and a Class 116 at the far end. 51079 + 51107 + 53124 stand at the far end of Snow Hill Stn on a line which was shortly swapped over to the Midland Metro. It was probably the spare unit that day. 27th August 1994 Steve Robinson.

A two-car GRC&W Cross-Country set at Bedwyn circa 1967. At the time Reading had two two-car sets allocated, 500 and 501, formed from 51053/61 and 51081/89, so this could be 51089 + 51061 if the higher set number contained the higher numbered vehicles. The two sets were transferred to the unlikely location of Inverness in May 1968. Graham Clark.
