The Branch Line Society South Wales Wanderer railtour at Gorseinon Coal Yard on 3 August 1975. Ex-works Class 120 set C506 was used, and this view shows centre car W59282 and the DMSL is presumably W50659. This is the RCTS "Midland Welshman No 2" railtour at Porth on 13 May 1978. These Swindon-built cross-country units were very comfortable and sought after for railtours where higher capacity was not needed. Car W50715 is nearest the camera, the other vehicles are W59588 + W50665. Jeremy Chapter.

Sun 20 Jun 1976 at 12:35. Swindon Cross Country dmu set C507 (W50662, W59260 and W50699) arrives at Tenby. This is the front unit forming the 12:08 Whitland-Pembroke Dock. The 'Tenby' blind had probably not been changed after it's first working of the day - the 07:30 Newport-Tenby. Mr Deltic.
The Monmouthshire Railway Society "Tintern Thunderbolt" rail tour on 8 April 1978 was planned to go to Markham Colliery, but owing to flooding was only able to go as far as Oakdale Colliery Sidings. The train was formed of a class 120 Cross Country set C507 (50721 + 59275 + 50668) coupled to a class 118 Bristol Suburban set (only just visible). Jeremy Chapter.
The Monmouthshire Railway Society ran their "Tintern Thunderbolt" railtour on 8 April 1978 using Cardiff-based Swindon cross-country set C507 and a Tyseley class 118 3-car set. Class 120 car W50668 is nearest the camera at the site of Trethomas station, but I have no record of the number of the class 08. Jeremy Chapter.

W51781 is at the rear of M59285 + M53698 heading out of Uphall with the 11:18 Edinburgh - Bathgate on the 1st November 1986. This is set 507, a few weeks earlier the vehicle still had its Cardiff set number C615, the new set sticker failed to cover the 'C'. Hamish Stevenson.
