Class 122 55012, set number 122 112, is seen on display at Laira open day on 15.09.1991. These bubble cars had not long been transferred from Tyseley, and 55012 would be further transferred to LoadHaul as a route learner. Andy Cole.

Branch Line Society "Fiddichburger No. 2" rail tour 27 August 1979. Gloucester single railcar Sc55002 (class 122) is seen at Dufftown. This unit was new in 1958 at Tyseley and would run until December 1986. Dufftown station closed for passengers in 1968 but is now the headquarters for the Keith and Dufftown railway. Jeremy Chapter.

The Branch Line Society (BLS) "Waterloo and Buchan" railtour worked by 55007 on 16 April 1979 had a photo stop at Strichen station. The line from Dyce Junction, near Aberdeen to Fraserburgh had closed to passengers in the 1960s but had a freight service until 1979, after which it was closed and lifted. Jeremy Chapter.
