An official British Railways image (Eastern Region Negative AC472) which had a caption "Damaged Diesel Rail-Car at Stratford C. & W. Works. (Photographed specially for the use of C.M. & E.E. Department Derby)". It is dated August 5 1959 and shows a Derby Lightweight DTC undergoing cab end repairs. This is presumably after collision damage, with the twisted solebar and twist in the front of the bogie, the actual incident unknown. British Railways.

On the left is English Electric Type 4 D236, between it an the church is a steam loco, the electrification train behind the DMU has a 350hp diesel shunter at the far end.
