Nice surroundings, G&SWR signal box, semaphore signals, easy (reasonably legal) farm track access and Ayrshire DMUs in full flight. The new A737 has permanently blighted this area. Sc51017 and Sc51043 face off in Ayr (Kyle St sidings), August 1982. The vehicles were then part of the last two Class 126 units to survive (126 413 and 126 406). The best example of each type of 126 vehicle from the last two sets were remarshalled to form the now preserved Class 126 unit, 126 413 (Sc51017, Sc59404, Sc51043). Andrew McConnell.
