Two Swindon Inter-City sets in platform 3 of Birmingham New Street on Saturday 25 July 1964. Michael recorded this as the 5.22pm ex-Cardiff General. The headcode 1V71 would be for the previous working, the 09.30 Nottingham - Cardiff, according the the diagrams (https://railcar.co.uk/type/class-123/operations). Michael Mensing.

A GRC&W Cross-Country set at Hatton on 2 October 1965. It has Tyseley set number 513 in the window and the DMBC seems to be W51058. The vehicle was allocated to the depot from October 1961 to March 1967. Michael Mensing.

A Class 114 DMU formed of E56001 + E50044 arrives into Starbeck with a six-wheeled van on the rear. They are working the 4.00pm Harrogate - York service on 1 October 1975. E56001, and E50001, had slightly different shaped roof domes from the rest of the type, resulting in the side and top faces of the destination boxes being smaller, and the top marker light not protruding so much. E50001 differed from E56001 in that the destination box dropped below the gutter line. Michael Mensing.

With passage of time and my notes not specific I only know for sure I traveled on this Unit from Selby to York (although my notes say it was a Doncaster to York service - as this looks like a bay platform could the train have reversed at Selby?) Class 25/3 25324 was passing through Elstree station on the Midland Mainline with a demic Class 127 Bedford-St Pancras DMU bound for Cricklewood Depot on April 12th 1980. Another Class 127 DMU is visible on the extreme left, departing with a St Pancras to Bedford service. These well-worn Diesel-Hydraulic DMU's were finally replaced by Class 317 EMU's in 1983.
