These formations have been noted:

51449 59550 51521 Noted 24th June 1974 - at Exeter in blue/grey livery recently transferred from ScR to WR.
51449 51521 Noted 20/08/75 - on 2B60 1750 Cardiff-Bristol TM
Class 101 DMU at Hereford

1975

Not so long after seeing my first Western Region allocated "Metro-Cammell" DMU at Newton Abbot, they started turning up at Hereford - as Cardiff received a few sets. Here is set P802 (presumably 51521 + 59550 + 51449 transferred from LA to BR in June 1975) waiting to leave on a Worcester bound service. It was unusual to see these sets in blue and white livery at this time, though later this became common. John Crooks.

Class 101 DMU at Quintrell Downs

Laira-allocated Class 101 DMU set P802 with W51449 visible in Quintrell Downs station on the Newquay branch, looking east. Date unknown, it was a Laira set from May 1974 to June 1975. Stuart Mackay Collection.
