A three-car Met-Camm DMU passes through Princes Street Gardens on the last part of its journey to Edinburgh Waverley, date unknown. The leading car appears to be Sc51521. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Not so long after seeing my first Western Region allocated "Metro-Cammell" DMU at Newton Abbot, they started turning up at Hereford - as Cardiff received a few sets. Here is set P802 (presumably 51521 + 59550 + 51449 transferred from LA to BR in June 1975) waiting to leave on a Worcester bound service. It was unusual to see these sets in blue and white livery at this time, though later this became common. John Crooks.
The Lea Valley Railway club ran a tour to Wadebridge on 30 April 1977 which for part of the journey used two Met-Camm units (B800 + B802) that were unusual in Cornwall at the time. It is seen at Polbrock Bridge near Grogley Halt on its way to Wadebridge with W51521 and presumably W59550 in view. Roger Geach.
The Lea Valley Railway Club 'The Royal Duchy' railtour at Wadebridge on 30 April 1977. The tour originated in Paddington and was loco-hauled to Par where two Class 101 sets took over, B802 (visible here, 51521 and presumably 59550 + 51449) and B800. They visited numerous places ending at Plymouth where the passengers returned to the loco-hauled set for the journey back to London. Roger Geach.
The Lea Valley Railway Club 'The Royal Duchy' railtour passing Respryn Bridge which is near Bodmin Road on the Lostwithiel side on 30 April 1977. It was formed of Class 101 DMU sets B802 (51521 and presumably 59550 + 51449) and B800 (presumably 51445 + 59549 + 51515) Roger Geach.
Class 101 DMU set B802 (51521 and presumably 59550 + 51449) departs from Swindon. Date unknown, it seems freshly painted (into blue/grey) post refurbished livery but before a headlamp was added so circa 1980/1. Paul Redmond.
Class 101 DMU set B802 (51521 and presumably 59550 + 51449) arrives at Swindon. Date unknown, it seems freshly painted (into blue/grey) post refurbished livery but before a headlamp was added so circa 1980/1. Paul Redmond.

C802 (presumably 51521 51449) departs Swansea, date unknown. fgrsimon.
Two-car Met-Camm unit C802 (presumably 51521 + 51449) at Yeovil Pen Mill in early 1986. Michael Mensing.
Class 101 DMU set C802 (presumably 51521 + 51449), heading north near Dolau, on the Central Wales line. 16th September 1986. John Crooks.
A class 101 DMU (S802, presumably 51521 + 51449) arrives at Whitchurch station(Shropshire) in 1987. John Law.

The 16:34 Milford Haven - Swansea service enters Whitland Tunnel on 30 July 1987. 51521 is closest, set S802 was normally a two-car at this time but it does seem to contain a centre car. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Class 101 DMS 51521 at Snailwell on 25th September 1990. Despite the Swansea set number, the vehicle had latterly been a Heaton vehicle. Nicholas Youngman.
A Met-Camm triple DMU on Dundee depot on 20 May 1961. SC51451 is closest, presumably with SC59549 and SC51521. Bill Hamilton.
