A class 101 Met Cam dmu (TS401, M50304 closest) waits at Birmingham Moor Street with a service for Stratford upon Avon on 26/7/1975. Stephen Burdett.

Class 101 DMU at Smethwick West

9th April 1977

A Class 101 and Class 116 arrive at Smethwick West with the 14:14 Lichfield City-Kidderminster service on 9 April 1977. All three Met-Camm vehicles appear ex-works, but bizarrely one is in plain blue and two in the refurbished white/blue stripe livery. Michael Mensing.

Two three-car DMUs depart from Kidderminster on 9 April 1977 forming the 12:03 to Lichfied. Closest is a mixed-livery Class 101 (set TS401), the other is a Class 116. Michael Mensing.

Two three-car Met-Camm (TS401 at the front) sets arrive into Droitwich Spa on October 20 1978. Despite the destination blind, this was recorded as the 1.0pm Birmingham New Street - Kidderminster - Worcester Shrub Hill and Foregate Street. Michael Mensing.

23rd October 1986

I saw this 5 coach set arrive at Stratford upon Avon from my nearby home on the afternoon of 23 October 1986. I picked up a camera and went to the line, after speaking to the signalman, to take this shot of the return working showing a 4 car class 101 set coupled to single unit 55002 forming the 16.30 to Birmingham Moor Street. Stratford's well-known gasholders, not to mention the semaphore signalling and the associated signal box, have long since disappeared. Peter Tandy.
