September 1984

Class 116 unit TS537 of Tyseley depot and carrying "WM" branding on the front (believed to comprise vehicles 51130 + 59627 + 51143) pausing at Solihull station on a September evening in 1984 on a local service to Leamington Spa. Bob Belcher.

Class 116 DMU at between Solihull and Lapworth

September 1984

In the days when it was possible to sit at the front of a diesel multiple unit and (assuming that the driver had not lowered the blind) it was possible to enjoy a "driver's eye" view of the track ahead. On board a class 116 unit as a similar unit passes in the opposite direction on the section of route between Solihull and Lapworth that used to be four tracks. Taken in September 1984 from 51130 on a Leamington Spa service. Bob Belcher.
