April 1971

In April 1971 Stratford upon Avon had a complete station as seen with this 116 dmu (set TY536, presumably 50107 + 59442 + 50833) waiting to leave on a service to Birmingham Moor Street. Note the disc signals which indicate what position the starter signals at the end of the platform are in. Stephen Burdett.

7th August 1976

50833 leads Class 116 DMU set TY536 at the north end of KIdderminster on 7 August 1976. Michael Mensing.

Unknown date

A DMU formation at Wigston heading to Birmingham New Street circa mid-1970s. The Class 116 appears to be set TY536 (50833 + 59442 + 50914), the rear set appears to be a Class 120. Phillip Malin.

Refurbished Class 116 set TY536 at Sutton Coldfield on June 8, 1977. DMS M50107 is closest, the other two vehicles are presumably 59442 + 50833. Michael Mensing.

M50107 leads refurbished Class 116 set TY536, presumably with 59442 + 50833, in the Selly Oak - Bournville area in the Spring of 1979. Michael Mensing.

Class 116 DMU set TY536 (presumably 50107 + 59442 + 50833) on a Longbridge service heads down to the tunnel that will pass under Birmingham Moor Street station (seen above the front of the train) and take it to New Street. Date unknown. Ian Dinmore/railarchive.org.uk.
