Class 116 set TS534 at Bournville with a Redditch service in 1978, led by 50826. Michael Mensing.
Tyseley Class 116 set TS555 heading away from Wilmcote station displaying Burton on Trent on the destination blind in 1978. The DMBS 50826 was a recent transfer from Hamilton and has the vehicle number prefix painted over, and there are signs of the former set number under the driver's window. Michael Mensing.
A 116 set arrives into Stratford-upon-Avon in July 1978. The leading car, 50826, had recently been transferred to Tyseley from Hamilton, and is missing the region prefix on the number - unusual at the time - and carries a temporary set number. Michael Mensing.
DMBS M53826 leads a Class 116 into the far platform while a Class 114 sits in the platform nearest. Nottingham 9 June 1984. Unfortunately there's a bit of camera shake here. Tyseley based Class 116 DMU, unit T340 pulls into Henley in Arden from the Stratford direction in the summer of 1988. It is presumably formed 53826 + 59719 + 53837. Bob Belcher.

A London Midland Region publicity image (negative D9724/7) captioned "Three-car diesel multiple unit in West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive livery at Kings Norton on 4 September 1981." It is set TS555 with M50905 and presumably M59360 and M50826, originally a Cardiff then Hamilton set moving to Tyseley in 1978. British Rail.

I am not able to date this photograph other than it was taken sometime in mid-1987 because the negative was in the folder for that year but without a corresponding entry in any notebook. The location is clearly Sutton Coldfield station and the class 116 set TS520 (presumably 53905 + 59329 + 53826) was leaving to cross through the heart of Birmingham on its way to Redditch in Worcestershire. The driver's side of the cab has received a bit of a clout, probably in the crowded Tyseley depot. Peter Tandy.
