A Class 114 with E50027 on the rear heads out of Derby. Date unknown. Walter Burt.
Coasting down through Buxworth cutting with a Hope Valley, Sheffield-New Mills Central local service, is a Lincoln based Derby Heavyweight class 114 dmu, made up of cars E53027 & E54032. 7th September 1985. Andrew J Crowther.
Class 114 E53027 + E54041 and Class 101 54050 + 53231 leave Ely with the 10.13 Cambridge to Peterborough, 12.08.87. Nicholas Youngman.
Class 114 53027 is seen at Tyseley carriage sidings on 26.12.1987, presumably with 54041. Carrying set number T022, the Tyseley set numbers beginning with '0' were at this time were for the Parcels units. It had been transferred here from Cambridge that month. Andy Cole.
Class 114 DMBS 53027 at Snailwell on 12th April 1991. It was not unusual for vehicles to be sent for disposal with doors and windows boarded up. It was normally done with sheets of wood, this one has steel sheets welded on to seal the vehicle, a sign that it had never been asbestos stripped. Nicholas Youngman.
