Tyseley based Class 116 set TS526 (presumably 50095 + 59026 + 50070) at Sutton Coldfield in the Autumn of 1976. Lichfield City is on the destination blind. Michael Mensing.
Refurbished Tyseley Class 116 set TS526 (presumably 50095 + 59026 + 50070) is seen arriving into Four Oaks with the 6.29pm Longbridge - Lichfield service on the 30th May 1978. Michael Mensing.
Class 116s at Manchester Victoria on 24 May 1980, working one of the shuttles to the Rainhill 150 celebrations. Closest is set TS526 and M50095 presumably with M59026 + M50070. Nigel Menzies.
Confession time at Moor Street. The last day of services at the old Birmingham Moor Street on 26/9/87 sees a class 116 dmu being confronted by sobering posters. The end was not in sight however as 23 years later the terminal platforms reopened to great purpose! Stephen Burdett.
Two refurbished Class 116 DMUs arrive into Lye station in the summer of 1977. Several doors are wide open towards the centre of the formation despite there being at least two coach lengths to go before the train stops. At the front is set TS526, presumably 50070 + 59026 + 50095. Michael Mensing.

Tyseley-based Class 116 set TS526 (53070 leads, presumably with 53095 on the rear) arrives into Gloucester on September 29, 1984. Worcester Shrub Hill is on the destination blind. Michael Mensing.
It wasn't too difficult to take this sort of picture at Longbridge in 1986. There was a 15 minute local service on the Cross City line with some trains terminating here with others continuing to Redditch. I can't quite make out the unit number on the hybrid set about to leave on the up line on 14 June but think it may be T526 with class 116 power cars sandwiching a class 127 trailer. If I am correct then the car numbers are 53070 + 59626 + 53095 which were listed as being at Tyseley during 1987 although as a four-car set with another class 127 vehicle. It wasn't uncommon for Tyseley to muck about with their sets as faults developed and all sorts of odd combinations were seen. Peter Tandy.
