With signs that the station reconstruction has began, a Met-Camm triple set arrives into Birmingham New Street on August 8, 1964, led by M50310, with the 1.34pm ex-Lichfield. Note that neither of the power cars is carrying the BR crest. Michael Mensing.

I was in Stratford-upon-Avon East signalbox on 29 June 1985 having a chat with the bobby when class 101 TS418 (53310 + 59128 + 53326) left the station with a late afternoon train to Birmingham Moor Street.
