A three-car Met-Camm DMU (the DMBS leading appears to be M50310) is seen leaving Lea Hall with the 12.29pm Northampton - Birmingham New Street service on 1 March 1963. Michael Mensing.
With signs that the station reconstruction has began, a Met-Camm triple set arrives into Birmingham New Street on August 8, 1964, led by M50310, with the 1.34pm ex-Lichfield. Note that neither of the power cars is carrying the BR crest. Michael Mensing.

The 12.42pm ex-Llandudno approaches Llandudno Junction on 11 March 1978. It is formed of two two-car DMUs, at the front is a 101/103 hybrid, Class 101 DMBS M50310 leading allocated to Chester. At the rear is a Class 101 set. Michael Mensing.
Running to an amended timetable due to engineering works, a service from Llandudno arrives at Llandudno Junction, from where it will return at 11:52. It is formed of a Class 101/103 hybrid (M50310 closest) and a refurbished Class 101. 11 March 1978. Michael Mensing.

Class 101 DMU Birmingham New Street, Sept 1983. By mid-1983, DMU vehicles in rail blue were increasingly scarce so finding Metro-Cammell dmu cars M53310 and M59128 still sporting their blue livery in September was certainly a nice surprise. Robert28194.
I was in Stratford-upon-Avon East signalbox on 29 June 1985 having a chat with the bobby when class 101 TS418 (53310 + 59128 + 53326) left the station with a late afternoon train to Birmingham Moor Street. The bridge in front of the unit shows where the line crosses over the Stratford canal. Peter Tandy.

A Chester allocated 5-car Class 101 DMU rattles through platform 5 at Wigan North Western with what was probably an empty stock working on the 13th July 1985. DMBS 53310 is at the front followed by 59128 then 53326. The rear pair consists of 51188 with 54348. S Gaskell.

Carrying the name "Sharon" on the cab front is Class 101 DMBS 53310 at Reading with the 11:35 to Gatwick Airport on 27 March 1991. The other two vehicles in set L839 are presumably 59306 + 53326. Robert Thomas.

In 1993 there were hourly local trains between Oxford and Banbury operated by Network SouthEast DMUs. On 7 May, 3 coach class 101 (L839, presumably 53326 + 59306 + 53310) in full NSE colours was allocated and it is seen here between Banbury and Kings Sutton stations shortly on an early afternoon working.
