A Class 108 (53949) / 101 (presumably 54056) hybrid DMU formation is seen calling at the Retford low level station on 01/08/1990. The electrified flyover is the East Coast Main Line. Graeme Phillips Collection.
A two-car Class 101/108 hybrid DMU formed of cars 54056 & 53949 was arriving at Rufford with an Ormskirk to Preston service on the evening of April 1st 1989. The Tarleton Branch of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal was then a quiet little-used backwater. This location now has marinas either side of the canal, a footbridge, car parks and the railway is now obscured by trees. Martyn Hilbert.
54056 is the Met-Camm in a Class 101/108 hybrid (presumably with 53949) at Sheffield, 13th September 1989. Malcolm Clements.
