BRC&W Class 118 DMU set B468 (presumably 51325 + 59477 + 51310) sits in Bath Spa station on 4 March 1978. Nicholas T Smith.
The joint Monmouthshire Railway Society / RCTS 'The Caerwent Cannonball' railtour at Norchard on March 15, 1980. It was formed B803 51522 + 59546 + 51450 and B462 51304 + 59477 + 51319. Jeremy Chapter.
The "Caerwent Cannonball" railtour was organised by the Monmouthshire Railway Society and RCTS on March 15, 1980. At Blaenavon in South Wales, this end of the six-car formation is a class 118 set, set B462 containing 51304/59477/51319. At the far end is Class 101 set B803 51450 + 59546 + 51522. Jeremy Chapter.
A Class 118 DMU (presumably 51319 59477 51304) on a Swindon to Cheltenham Spa service departs Stroud on a misty Winter's day in 1981. Stroud station, a typical GWR affair, has barely changed in the last 29 years. The railways have changed beyond imagination and mostly not for the better. fgrsimon.

Class 118 DMU set P462 (presumably 51304 + 59477 + 51319) in Exeter St Davids station. Date unknown, it was a Laira set from May 1982 until 51304 was withdrawn with accident damage in July 1985. At that time the DMS would move to Reading to become part of Class 119 set L579, the centre car would be stored then reinstated in August to Cardiff as part of Class 118 set C465.
