Class 111 DMU at Huddersfield

Details

A scene that epitomises the early years of DMU travel in Yorkshire. A Rolls-Royce powered Metropolitan-Cammell 3-car unit with E50278 trailing stands in platform 1B at Huddersfield forming a service to Wakefield Kirkgate on a misty winter's day in the 'pre-whisker' era of the late-1950s, possibly shortly after delivery in January 1958 (to Hammerton Street). The other two vehicles are presumably 59108 + 50288.
