Ayr TMD allocated Class 101 set number 101321 formed of Class 101 DMCL 53146 nearest camera, TCL 59542 and DMBS 51249 all in Strathclyde PTE orange / black livery have just arrived in Platform 11 at Glasgow Central Station on the 4th June 1986 and have stopped next to a former LMR based Class 120 3 car set set in Platform 10 operating an Ayrshire service for the coast. Class101 DMBS 53210 is seen having just arrived on the Ayrshire side of Glasgow Central Station on the 29th July 1986. Formally allocated to Norwich MPD she still carries her 86 depot number at the top of her centre cab window. Class 101 TSL 59090 forms the centre car in Strathclyde red and black livery with Class 104 53598 bringing up the rear. Together they formed Scottish Region Set No. 104455. All had been scrapped by August 1989 Bob Woolnough.

A mixed 3 car DMU set, 120518, crosses the River Clyde and approaches Glasgow Central terminus on the afternoon of 29th July 1986. Leading is Class 120 DMSL 53647 with CL101 TSL 59063 in the middle of the set and Cl 120 DMBS 53741 bringing up the rear. All 3 vehicles would be scrapped at Snailwell by January 1988. Bob Woolnough.
