New Holland Pier on 15/5/79. The station served an area of North Lincolnshire for ferry services across the Humber to Hull. Services ceased in August 1981, when the Humber Bridge was opened. A Class 114 sits in the station with a Cleethorpes service. The walkway is like a long platform with New Holland Town station. Stephen Burdett.
Vehicle: 50013
New Holland Pier on 30 July 1980, with 50013 + 56008 on the 11.24 to Barton. The pier was the terminus for the ferry across the Humber from Hull. The ferry closed, as did New Holland Pier station, on 24 June 1981 when the Humber Bridge opened. Lewis Bevan.
A Cravens Class 105 DMU in New Holland Pier station, Lincolnshire, circa 1979. Seen awaiting departure for Barton-upon-Humber, the service probably originated from Cleethorpes. No date with the original slide, but with the other tracks having been lifted and the front end of the DMU having been rationalised, it likely to be between 1979 to June 1981 when the pier station closed upon opening of the Humber Bridge. Graeme Phillips Collection.

In refurbished livery, A Class 114 2-Car DMU, formed of cars E50001 & E56043, waits to depart from a run-down looking New Holland Pier with a service to Cleethorpes on Sunday 28th September 1980. The linkspan connecting the station to the ferry landing stage can be seen to the right of the station building. A Morris Minor and a Mark 3 Ford Cortina are parked behind the buffer stops. In this period only one track was in situ at this end of the Pier. Martyn Hilbert.

Class 114 Derby Heavyweight 2-Car DMU formed of cars E50001 & E56043 (E50001 was the first built, emerging from Derby in 1956), departs from New Holland Pier and runs along the 1,375 yard structure towards its next stop at New Holland Town on September 28th 1980. There is a air of dereliction all around, the pier closed to passenger trains following the opening of the Humber Suspension Bridge in June 1981. Martyn Hilbert.
With weather conditions looking like the aftermath of a heavy shower on a Summer's evening, a pair of Class 105 DMUs are seen standing at New Holland Pier around 1980. Graeme Phillips Collection.
Vehicle: 56042
E56042 + E50038 New Holland Pier on April 18, 1981. A shame the ferry wasn't allowed to continue once the Humber Bridge was built. It would probably be still well used by train passengers between Hull and North Lincolnshire John Carter.
