51257 is part of set 64 at Spalding on 19/4/77. The Class 105 set is attached to a 3-car set of a different class, which is mostly off the platform. There is also a 3-car high density set in the sidings. Ian Francis.

Norwich allocated Cravens class 105 dmu set 70, made up of cars E54467 & E53380, which have just reached their destination of Spalding, on the occasion of the annual Flower Parade Day. 4th May 1985. Andrew J Crowther.
An unidentified class 47 reverses its excursion train out of the sidings at Spalding at the end of the annual Flower Parade day, on it's right is an 8 car class 101 dmu, our 'Merrymaker' from Furness Vale is on the left made up of a 2 car class 108 and 2x3 car class 104 dmu's whilst on top of that is another loco hauled excursion with a class 47 on it. 4th May 1985. It looks as if you can park you car, coach, mini bus and your 3 car class 108 dmu outside the front of Spalding railway station, on the occasion is the annual Flower Parade day. Looking at Google Maps this has all changed with a road across here now but the station buildings haven't changed, and there is my mum there most likely reading that months 'Flower Monthly'. 4th May 1985 Andrew J Crowther.
Reversing into the sidings for the day at Spalding is our 'Merrymaker' from Furness Vale, made up of a 2 car class 108 and 2x3 car class 104 dmu's and here for the annual Flower Parade day. In dismal weather the 10.57 Cambridge - Doncaster DMU does a little trade at Spalding on Thursday October 21st 1982. This was just over a month before the end of the joint line from March by which route it had travelled. Norwich Cravens twin unit set no. 46 has E51273 leading E56123. The power car had spent over 18 years on the GN Suburban services before being sent to Norwich in early 1978. It was withdrawn in November 1984 and met its end at Snailwell in 1986. The unit at the rear is the departmental 'Stourton Saloon' by this time numbered ADB975664 & ADB975637. Gerard Fletcher.

In May 1984 the ER GM saloon, Class 100 975664 / 975637, is on the left, in the middle is an eight car formation with two two-car Met-Camms and two two-cars of an unknown type (different roof vents from the Met-Camms). The crew change ends at Spalding, they will depart with the 13:05 service to Peterborough, 23 July 1977. So what has happened around the destination blind on E56448? My guess is that it was leaking and an attempt was made to seal it with a water based sealant, which was then out in the rain at speed before it had properly set.
