Heading down the Longdendale Valley towards Torside level crossing at 11.10 in pretty dismal conditions, a 'refurbished' Class 101 Metro Cammel leads a 4 car BRCW Class 104 dmu, heading westward towards Manchester Piccadilly on the now freight only Woodhead route, with a Sunday diversion away from the Hope Valley route, 25th January 1981.
