To mark the final closure of the Caernarvon Branch in February 1972 after it had been re-opened following the Menai Bridge Fire, a special Farewell Caernarvon Railtour was run by among others the WRC and the NWRC on the 5th of February 1972. The 6 car dmu involved is seen arriving in Caernarvon. It is formed of a 103 DTC (56159) / 101 DMBS hybrid, 101 DTC / 108 DMBS hybrid, and two-car 101. The KDH Archive.
