A comment added to the image on flickr by Merfyn Jones notes that it was taken from the top deck of a bus. The crossing had been replaced by a flyover in 1969. The pub was the Maelgwyn which was demolished to make way for a temporary crossing while the flyover was built along the line of the existing road. The box on the left was Llandudno Junction Crossing, while the signals in the background were the Up Main Homes for Llandudno Junction No.2 box. Ian Dinmore/railarchive.org.uk.
