A Chester-bound two-car blue square Derby Lightweight (later known as a Class 108) DMU is seen at Wrexham. Date unknown, circa mid-1960s. Roy Hamilton.

Black F 45409 of Patricroft is arriving at Chester with a down passenger service on the 22nd of July 1963. The (blue square) Derby Lighhtweight vehicle on the left appears to be M50627 which was allocated to Chester at the time. The KDH Archive.
circa 1964
A (blue square) Derby Lightweight twin (M51913 and presumably M56496) thought to be working the shuttle between St Helens Junction and St Helens Shaw Street (now Central). Date unknown, the shuttle ended in June 1965, so the yellow panel dates it to the 1963-5 period. Behind the unit used to be Peasley Cross station which closed in 1951. There are not many passengers on board, and the seat moquette which I can see better on the original scan is the same as that used in the 2nd class of the Marylebone quads (see image 15353) and the Ayrshire Swindon Inter-City sets (image 24623). 1965
This is one of the first photos I took with my new Werra camera in 1965. It's certainly the first railway photo. I started working for British Rail in a signal box in December 1964. The photo is of a Chester bound train taken at Rock Ferry on the Woodside to Chester line. Merseyrail electrics now operate this service. Edgehillsignallman@Flickr.
