Wigan North Western was home to three pairs of Class 108 DMUs on this bright winter's day in December 1984. The 4-car set in platform 4 is likely to be the 11.35 Blackpool North to Liverpool Lime Street service, due to leave Wigan at 12.22, while the 2-car set in platform 3 would form the next Liverpool service an hour later.
