In Longbridge station on 28 June 1986 is Class 108/101 set TS201 (presumably 51910 + 54361) with 55002 attached in the down platform with a service from Four Oaks to Redditch. A 6 coach class 116 led by T624 heads towards Birmingham New Street at high(ish!) speed on the up through road. I don't know the working but assume that it was one of the infrequent Cheltenham to Birmingham trains or possibly a service from Hereford to Birmingham New Street via Bromsgrove. Peter Tandy.

One of Buxton's allocated 3-car class 108 dmu's with a 104 center car is seen operating Peak Rail Rambler's Sunday only Buxton - New Mills Central - Buxton service on 20th July 1986, which did about 3 return trips. The train is passing through Peak Forest on the freight only line that serves to the quarries in the Buxton area. Andrew J Crowther.

On the 20th July 1986 one of Buxton's allocated 3-car class 108 dmu's with a 104 center car is seen operating Peak Rail Rambler's Sunday only Buxton-New Mills Central-Buxton service, which did about 3 return trips. The train has just passed through the 104 yard long tunnel underneath the L&NWR's Stockport-Buxton line just south of Chapel-en-le-Frith's station, and is travelling towards Buxton on the ex Midland Railway route to Derby, which is now freight only and serves to the quarries in the Buxton area. Class 108 Derby 3-car DMU with DMCL 52058 leading a 6 car formation for Llandudno at Chester 26-7-86-ish. In the summer of 1986, BX495 also contained 59388 + 51943. The rear set has a Class 104 centre car, a number of Buxton formations were made up of Class 108-104-108 thus. On Tour With the Class 13 Army.
