Leeds Neville Hill allocated Class 108 2 car set formed of DTCL E54199 and DMBS E53604 are stabled at Hull Botanic Gardens TMD on the 11th May 1988. Both vehicles are wearing 'Metrotrain' decals and would continue in service for a short while before being scrapped at Vic Berry's Yard in Leicester during June 1988. Bob Woolnough.

A Class 108 Derby Lightweight formed of cars M51924 & M52038 was at Croston with the 17.25 Ormskirk to Preston on May 21st 1986. At the time the newly introduced class 142 Pacers were spelling the demise of the first generation DMU fleet at Newton Heath depot and scenes such as this were coming to an end. Martyn Hilbert.

A hybrid three-car DMU with Class 108 Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) M51928 leading, had a Class 101 Trailer Car (presumably 59530) inserted between it and the rear Class 108 car (presumably 52044), forming a well-filled Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria service at Leyland on May 23rd 1986. Not a very inspiring picture from Derby taken on a dull 6 June 1986 and which I took only because of the marker spots on the headcode panel of the Class 108 DMU. The HST stood there for ages and I couldn't be bothered be wait any longer for a clearer shot from the platform in which it was standing after it left. Peter Tandy.
