A Class 108 DMU waits departure for Ilkley from the very rundown Bradford station on 17/4/79. At this time only 2 platforms out of 8 were in use, although the situation has altered in recent years with electrification. The other part of the station was used for parcels. On 10 July 1979, a class 108 diesel unit, built at Derby Works, is seen at Ravenglass heading for Barrow. On the platform next to the train can be seen a set of steps used to assist passengers in boarding from the low platform. Jeremy Chapter.
