A fine array of DMUs in Leeds City station in March 1976. Two Class 111s (51541 on the right) have a 104 and another Met-Camm between them. A curious item is on the left - the toilet end of a Met-Camm in white/blue stripe livery - but it seems to be a large model sitting on the platform? Hugh Llewelyn.

Scarborough on 20th March 1976. In 1976 there were still two very impressive semaphore signal gantries at Scarborough station. A Rolls-Royce powered Met-Camm dmu passes under the most westerly gantry heading for Leeds in the setting sun. Falsgrave signal box is on the left. Both gantry & box still exist but since 2011 the gantry has been preserved at the NYMR and the box no longer controls any signalling. Pete LG99.
A 3 car diesel multiple unit heads west out of Scarborough station heading for York on 20th March 1976. The track on the right runs into Falsgrave tunnel and on to a goods yard on the former coast line to Whitby. By this time that line was closed beyond the yard and today both yard and trackwork are long gone. Pete LG99.
