Birmingham University station, 1st June 1978. A Class 116 diesel multiple unit, no doubt based at Tyseley, on a pre-electrification Cross City service disappears towards Redditch (although this service terminated at Longbridge according to the banner display) at the new Birmingham University station in Edgebaston.
